Our Library and computer room

After our last container, we had a huge amount of library books and second hand computers. We then had to find some where to put them and so we converted what really was a room full of junk, into an air conditioned library and computer room.

The colour scheme was left up to the choice of the volunteers and they chose the most awful, bright, sickly yellow that you could ever imagine. We then decided to put in a little local art to try and detract from the yellow. There were so many keen to do some local art work that we soon ran out of walls and fortunately, very little of the yellow was left. We now have a room that is a real show piece with a great variety of art work.

The children love to look at the books and of course play on the computers at any chance they have. The computers are old and slow but they are great for the kids and we have all sorts of games which is helping their learning.

If anyone out there has any old CDs lying around that may be useful for our kids, we would love to have them.
